Description
It’s done – my MOC of the XX-9 Heavy Turbolaser. I tried to make it as accurate as possible to the version in the movies and as in my other MOCs use as little parts and different lots as possible. It is a modular build with 3 levels and 2 removable roofplates, so it can also be played with. Building instructions are divided into 5 substeps to make it easier to build.

Functions
– rotating turret
– pivotable gun barrels
– openable door on turred head
– modular build with 3 levels (turret head, tower top, tower base)
– full interior in all 3 levels
– ladder between level 1 and 2
– openable door at the tower base

parts, lots & colors
1.508 parts and 163 lots excluding baseplate. Most printed tiles are on the inside except 2 round tiles on the turred head and 2 near the entrance door at the tower base. All printed tiles can replaced with normal tiles. Also interior can be left to reduce building costs

smart part usage
For this MOC i tried to balance using as little as possible parts and different lots and still get much details.

checked partlist
For this MOC i proofed the partlist to use only existing parts that are available (at the moment of creation) and if there are different molds of the same parts I used the cheapest version.

I am huge Star Wars fan and create Star Wars based MOCs. For all my sets I use as little parts as needed and as little different lots as needed, so the sets can be built easily and with low costs. Most of my MOCs are minifigure-size (~ 1:45), others are Micro Scale (~1:128).
