Hi,

For all the lovers of Lego’s modular buildings, I decided to design a two level pedestrian set inspired by Parisian architecture. It is intended to frame your modular builds and creates a more open pedestrian space in front of them once raised. There’s three sets of stairs to connect to the bottom level – which can be used as another sidewalk or redesigned to maybe host a train station or a canal.

Every section of the promenade is designed to fit with a 32×32 modular building with the exception of the middle section. It is the only one that is based on a 48×32 stud slot and has been designed with the bigger Assembly Square set in mind. Its little plaza and fountain will form an even bigger one with the promenade out front.

The side sections are designed to work with non corner builds in case you don’t own one – as sidewalks have been added there as well. If you do own corner buildings and want to incorporate them you can simply remove the bench, flower arrangement and anchors that are supposed to connect to a regular modular.

The whole set is modular itself and can be extended or shrunk based on the amount of modular buildings you own. The modular buildings will need to be raised to align with the top level of the promenade. They slide in perfectly (once raised on boxes or foam or any other custom build you choose), connect to each side with the pins and also connect to the front of the promenade if you simply remove the first single row of light bluish gray tiles that line each modular building and attach the dark bluish gray tiles on the walkway to those studs (the last row is hanging over allowing you to slide the modular’s base plate under to connect).

I avoided using rare or expensive bricks, every brick used should be easily found.

The size of the completely assembled promenade is 166.4cm (208 studs) long 38.4cm (48 studs) deep.

What you will get when purchasing this is 5 individual pdf instructions manuals plus 5 separate xml parts lists – one for each of the modules.

You’ll notice a fountain on each end of the build, which is based on a design by Craig Brooks who kindly allowed me to use it for my set (https://www.flickr.com/photos/133130984@N07/).

If you notice any issues with the parts list or the building instructions, please reach out to me so I can fix it and we’ll figure something out. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this but I am having a lot of fun. The promenade is my first design. I did build it myself so you can be sure that it is structurally sound.

Please contact me if you have any questions.
