The Leaning Tower of Pisa, in Italy, is one of the most famous and recognizable monuments in the world. In this design I have tried to create a reproduction as faithful as possible to the real building, for which I needed a large design that would allow me to reproduce the details and preserve the proportions of the original tower. The result is a design of 2520 pieces in total.

As it could not be otherwise, the realistic recreation of the building had to include its most distinctive element: the inclination of its tower. This is a great challenge to carry out, not only due to the very nature of LEGO bricks (mainly designed to be built vertically or horizontally), but also due to the aforementioned large size of the design. In total, the tower reaches a height of 46.3 cm (18.2 inches).

A hard road that has taken many hours of work, tests and modifications, but it has also been amazing and very stimulating. Unfortunately, and because I believe that honesty is important, I must say that I do not have enough bricks to build the model in reality, something that I would have loved to be able to do. However, after many tests, changes and modifications, I have achieved a final design with results in the stability tests of the design programs that make me feel pretty sure about that points.

I’m sure all brick fans will enjoy building this MOC as it presents an exciting building challenge.
