The Birch family has expanded their business to not just a bookshop, but also an art gallery and antique shop. The Birch Art & Antique corner is an alternative build using 2050 pieces from the LEGO official set 10270 only. This corner build comprises of an art gallery & antique shop on the ground floor and living area & additional art studio on the upper floor.

The antique shop is managed by grandpa & grandma Birch. It’s full of furniture, and other valuable antiques. The art gallery is managed by mommy Birch while daddy Birch creates the paintings and artworks. Of course, junior Birch sometimes helps daddy Birch. The upper level has an art studio that can also be used for private art lessons.

The inspiration of the design came from a previous contest I joined. I created a building with an art gallery; however, I wanted to challenge myself to be able to create but only using a specific set to make it easier for other FOLs to build it themselves. Since the bookstore set is one of the recent sets, it’s easily available compared to other modular sets; hence, it made sense to use the parts from that set.

For those who are looking to add something different to their LEGO city/town, This is an option worth considering.
