The LEGO MOC of the Boeing E-3 Sentry AWACS plane!

The Boeing E-3 Sentry is an “airborne early warning and control” aircraft developed by Boeing and operated by the USAF, NATO, and the air forces of Chile, France, and Saudi Arabia; this aircraft is derived from the Boeing 707 airliner and it provides all-weather surveillance, command, control, and communications.
Its distinctive feature is the rotating radar dome (rotodome) above the fuselage, 30 ft (9 m) in diameter, that has a range of more than 250 mi (400 km) for low-flying targets, and a range of 400 mi (650 km) for medium and high-flying targets.
Based on my precedent Boeing 707 MOC, I decided to design this model, which is nearly identical to the Boeing 707 but with some evident changes: the rotating rotodome, the updated engines and the military colours; this model has some enjoying features like the movable landing gears and aerodynamic surfaces, and of course the ability to rotate the radar dome.
The building instructions are two PDF guides: one for the main model, which is 307 pages (361 steps) long, and one for the display support, 52 pages / 55 steps long. The PDF instructions includes a lot of interesting captions and facts about the history and design of the Boeing E-3 Sentry!
