Queen Victoria by bru_bri_mocs

I present you a new, redesigned, resized and improved LEGO MOC of the “MS Queen Victoria”, the beautiful panamax cruise ship operated by Cunard line.
Although this ship is not a real ocean liner, since she hasn’t the heavy plating throughout the hull and other typical features like a slender bow or a high draft, the QV‘s bow was constructed with heavier plating allowing the ship to have direct and fast transatlantic crossing.

The Queen Victoria original MOC that I designed in 2020 was one of my very first LEGO models, so it was quite large (1,2 mt long!) and built with an elementary technique, without using the design skills that I have acquired by doing more than 50 MOCs over the past two years, and it also didn’t have the PDF instructions available.

Nevertheless the old MOC has had some success, so I decided to make a “reboot” of the model; the new Queen Victoria is a 1:375 scale model of the ship, it has 5196 parts and it is 31 inches long and 4 inches wide, it is a detailed replica of the ship with all its features, designed with a LEGO Creator style by using mostly classic bricks, classic plates, tiles, slopes and wedges parts. The model also has movable stabilizers fins and openable glass roof on the upper deck lido pool.
The building instructions consist of a three-part PDF guide that is 629 pages long and it has 740 steps, the building process is easy to follow and enjoyable due to the widespread use of the submodel technique. You can see some samples of the PDF instructions at the top right of this page. Each PDF file weighs about 100 MB, so you will need at least 300 MB of free storage on your device to download them.
