Marder II (DAK, 1943, Tunisia)
The MOC is built in a minifig scale. The chassis is based on my previous Panzer II models. The gun could be elevated between -3,5° and + 19.5°. By removing the ammunition bin, the left side of the engine cover can be opened, andt has an interrior for the Maybach HL 62 TR engine. The decals on the model are belonging to the Deutches Afrika Korps (1943, Tunisia).
Dimensions: 24 cm x 8 cm x 9,5 cm
Total parts: 631 pcs
Instruction: 166 pages
The scale of the vehicle is around 1/28, and it requires aftermarket 1.5 width track links. (65-67 per side, and 7 attached to the engine cover, so around 141 total). the minifigs are not listed in the parts list, they are only shown for presenting the scale of the model.
If you like it, please also check my Panzer II Ausf.F (DAK) and Panzer II Ausf.C models.
About the Marder II:
As the Panzer II  was considered obsolate by 1942, Skoda, FAMO and M.A.N companies were contracted to convert all the avaible chasses and vehicles into Marder II. The Marder II was built by simply removing the Panzer II turret and most of the superstructure except for the drivers compartment. On the top of the hull a 7.5 cm PaK 40/2 L/46 gun was mounted and a new superstructure was built to give some protection to the crew. The armour was relatively thin by the standards of 1942m but the gun was capable to prenetrate the T-34 huul and turret armour. The total ammunition load consisted of 37 rounds placed in the ammunition bins located above the engine compartment.
Technical specifications:
Weight: 11 tons

Disclaimer:
