The car as driven by Joe Leonard in the 1972 Indycar series for Vel’s Parnelli Jones racing.
The radical looking car was the result of the creativity of Maurice Phillipe when he unofficially joined the team that year. Even though the radical looking wings disappeared in May of that season the impression had been made.
The continuous developments throughout the year kept the car competitive as they claimed yet another title.
The car is designed so a complete minifig can fit by temporarily removing the tiles on the side of the cockpit. It is also designed to match the speed champions 2020 scale as closely as possible.
Free sticker sheet now available with the instructions! It must be printed on a white vinyl sheet at a 1:1 ratio (do not scale and must be actual size). The sticker sheet will also be made available from https://www.ultimatecollectorstickers.co.uk/
Minifig is NOT included in the instructions or parts list.
PLEASE NOTE: Your purchase only includes the parts list needed which you can use to purchase from a site like bricklink.com or Lego pick a brick if available in your area, instructions on how to build and a downloadable pdf for the sticker sheet you can print at home/local print shop. No bricks are included!
To buy the bricks either refer to the guide included in downloadable files on how to import a xml list on bricklink or refer to the parts list if you are planning to buy from any other website.
