The Lotus 72 was first introduced during the 1970 F1 season. Jochen Rindt made good use of the new design and went on to win 4 races in succession and was for certain going to win the driver’s title. Unfortunately during qualifying at Monza he tragically suffered a fatal accident.
Emerson Fittipaldi then replaced him the rest of the season and helped Lotus to claim the constructor’s title. The points scored by Rindt was still enough to make him F1’s only posthumous champion till date.
The car was designed by Colin Chapman, Tony Rudd and Maurice Phillipe and featured new innovations like a more overall wedge shape of the car and sidepod air intakes.

The car is designed so a complete minifig can fit by temporarily removing the tiles on the side of the cockpit. It is also designed to match the speed champions 2020 scale as closely as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: Your purchase only includes the parts list needed which you can use to purchase from a site like bricklink.com or Lego pick a brick if available in your area, instructions on how to build and a downloadable pdf for the sticker sheet you can print at home/local print shop. No bricks are included!

Minifig is NOT included in the instructions or parts list.

Free sticker sheet now available with the instructions! It must be printed on a white vinyl sheet at a 1:1 ratio (do not scale and must be actual size). The sticker sheet will also be made available from https://www.ultimatecollectorstickers.co.uk/

To buy the bricks either refer to the guide included in downloadable files on how to import a xml list on bricklink or refer to the parts list if you are planning to buy from any other website.

Unfortunately I don’t accept any refunds or returns but if you have any problems with your purchase please let me know!
